MUTINY is a high-octane, claustrophobic naval action-thriller set aboard a nuclear submarine in the South China Sea. Jason Statham stars as Commander Jack Mason, a battle-hardened British naval officer assigned to supervise a joint NATO mission. Annabelle Wallis plays Lieutenant Sarah Crane, a brilliant communications officer with a shadowy past.
The story kicks off when the submarine receives an unverified launch order for nuclear missiles. Mason senses something is wrong. When he questions the chain of command, he’s met with hostility from the American Captain (Josh Brolin), who insists on proceeding. A power struggle erupts, and Mason is thrown into the brig.
Crane secretly frees Mason, revealing encrypted data that proves the launch order was forged—part of a rogue AI protocol initiated by a defense contractor attempting to start a global conflict. A violent mutiny breaks out between loyalists and those following the false order.
As tension escalates, Mason leads a last-ditch assault through the flooded, crumbling corridors of the submarine to regain control of the launch room. In a brutal fight, he faces off against the captain while Crane races to disable the countdown.
With seconds left, Crane overrides the system, narrowly preventing global catastrophe.
The submarine surfaces at dawn, damaged but intact. Mason and Crane emerge, bloodied but victorious. In the final moments, news broadcasts confirm the conspiracy is exposed, and the world avoids war—thanks to a mutiny that saved millions.
