THE BUNDYS ARE BACK — AND RUINING PARADISE!
In this long-awaited reunion movie, Married… with Children: Bundys in Paradise, Al Bundy (Ed O’Neill) has finally scraped together enough money — mostly from a lost lawsuit against a shoe company — to take his dysfunctional family on a vacation to Hawaii. Peg (Katey Sagal) is thrilled, though mostly for the shopping and buffet access, while Kelly (Christina Applegate) is still chasing fame and Bud (David Faustino) is still chasing women… poorly.
What begins as a dream trip quickly turns into a nightmare. Al’s cheap motel booking lands them next to a noisy surf school, Peg blows half the travel budget on coconut-scented candles, and Bud accidentally gets engaged to a local mob boss’s daughter. Meanwhile, Kelly mistakenly becomes the face of a Hawaiian suntan lotion brand — with disastrous, cringe-worthy consequences.
The climax sees Al trying to flee the island disguised as a hula dancer while Peg hosts a live luau at their hotel to raise bail money. In the end, the Bundys return to Chicago sunburned, broke, and exactly the same as ever — miserable, loud, and loving it.
Conclusion:
With a $15 million budget, Bundys in Paradise nails the tone of the original series while offering fans a chaotic, nostalgic farewell filled with laugh-out-loud moments and unapologetic Bundy brilliance.
