Bright Star 2 imagines a poetic continuation of Fanny Brawne’s life after the tragic death of poet John Keats. Set years later, Fanny (Abbie Cornish) is now a respected fashion designer and secretly curates Keats’ unpublished poems. When a young scholar named Henry (Ben Whishaw in a dual role, as Keats’ spiritual echo) arrives to research Keats’ legacy, Fanny is confronted by old grief and new affection.
As Henry uncovers letters that suggest Keats foresaw Fanny’s future resilience, a quiet romance blooms. Torn between memory and possibility, Fanny must decide whether to cling to the past or open her heart again. The film ends with Fanny publishing Keats’ final poems, giving both his voice and her own new life.
