In The Simpsons Movie (2025), Springfield faces catastrophe when a greedy tech mogul, voiced by Adam Sandler, partners with the government to turn the town into a live-streamed “reality experience”—without residents’ consent. The entire city becomes trapped under surveillance.
Courteney Cox plays Dr. Ava Linwood, an ex-Springfieldian turned cyber-whistleblower who returns to help the Simpsons fight back. Lisa uncovers a secret code hidden in Maggie’s pacifier that could shut down the network, while Bart teams up with Ava to hack the city grid. Meanwhile, Homer, as usual, unintentionally becomes the hero by crashing a donut-delivery drone into the control hub. Marge holds the family together as their home life unravels on global livestream. In the climax, Ava sacrifices her identity to restore Springfield’s freedom. The movie ends with the town celebrating their return to chaos, only for Mr. Burns to reveal he’s bought Disney+. Cue the next conspiracy. Fade to yellow.
